On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, FCPS Superintendent, Dr. Scott Brabrand, visited Floris Elementary to express his gratitude and thanks for all of the hard work teachers and staff members have put in, particularly since the start of the pandemic.  Greeted with a festive turkey headband to honor the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, Dr. Brabrand walked the halls of Floris to admire student artwork, thank staff members, and engage with students in the classroom.  He was introduced to fabulous projects in Mrs. Wilson's art room as well as special Thanksgiving "craftivities" being created on the first grade hall.  Dr. Brabrand also took a moment to appreciate the rich history of Floris ES, admiring the historical display at the hub of our school.  The message is clear: we have come a long way in the past almost 150 years, and the present is a bustling time, with our students at the center of everything we do.  #FlorisStrongerTogether
