Floris Elementary School is positively buzzing with energy and enthusiasm this school year.  This is, in large part, due to the Positivity Project initiative that teachers and students are adopting to focus on character education and development.  To kick this off for the entire school, teachers and staff hosted a Positivity Project pep rally on Monday, September 9.

There, students learned about different character strengths and the main tenet of positive psychology: that other people matter.  By recognizing these strengths in ourselves and others, we can cultivate a more collaborative and engaging environment here at Floris.  Be on the lookout for ways to discuss character strengths, as teachers will be introducing one strength per week.  To view the proposed schedule as well as some additional information and resources, click on the link below!
